The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Where in your business are you guilty of repeating the same mistakes or patterns of behaviour whilst expecting a different outcome?
We are all sometimes guilty of behaving like an Englishman abroad.
- If you speak louder and slower, the foreign chap will eventually understand.
Sadly, computers and businesses are not in the habit of producing different outcomes for the same inputs or behaviours.
If there is something in your business that is not as it should be:
- Start by working out what the inputs are.
- Work out what actions cause each result until you have established the cause and effect flow.
- Work upstream in the process.
Only by changing behaviours or actions at the upstream end of things you will cause a different result.
