At a recent ChannelNEXT in Vancouver, I had a chance to interview Chris Groot whose mission is to grow SolarwindsMSP’s Backup Disaster Recovery business.
“Solarwinds MSP offers a toolkit for MSPs that they need to go to market. We offer a super efficient backup and recovery platform for Linux, Windows and Mac environments that is very simple to use and innovative. You can get the super lightweight efficient backup that scales really well. You can produce real images in real time as well as any file and database recoveries in very short periods of time.”
Chris also talked about the company’s history starting with GFIMax, then Logicnow, also known as Maxfocus and finally acquired by Solarwinds earlier this year.
The origins of their BDR solution started back in 2004 in Europe. Since then, it has been a steep growth curve. All together, the SolarwindsMSP organization has over 20,000 MSP customers. Their comprehensive solution allows MSPs to use one platform to deliver really great service that is seamless to their end customers. It has been purpose-built for MSPs. Many MSPs already have thousands of devices being protected on the platform.
