ChannelNEXT West 2017 Round Up

This event was the last of the year and last of its type before we move to the new format in 2018. At the event, we unrolled the new plans and provided a taste of what’s to come next year.

It’s about time we stop selling and start helping channel partners. The new events will feature 100% business education on all sorts of best business practices and technology trends. The events will be more like “rest stops” on the journey and not the final destination. Vendors will still be very involved, but on a higher level by offering partners more high-value support and education through “Master Classes” and “Training”. They will better understand their partner needs through attending joint Mastermind sessions. They will better network through private hospitality suites and other business building activities. Of course, there will be all of the usual fun social and networking activities that has made ChannelNEXT a top channel event for the past 15 years.

Next year, VARMasterMind groups will be at the core of the event. VARs, MSPs and ITSPs will attend the conference in groups of 8. They will collaborate deeply within their group to solve big pain points. Our coaches will guide them to success faster and easier. Each group will also learn and build relationships with other VARMasterMind groups. It’s going be a great group of like-minded people looking for success and happiness!

The overarching mission is to build Canada’s Next Top 300 Channel Partners. We will collaborate with about 38 groups of 8 companies each. 6 coaches will be assigned to each group to help and support every member all year long.

Depending on the membership level, each member will get up to 3 face-to-face meetings per year, a virtual session every month, at least 1 Master Class every month, access to an “inner circle network” to ask any question and get answers 365 days a year, 6 one-on-one coaching session every year, unlimited peer-t-peer contacts and so much more. This is what it will take to build Canada’s next top 300 channel partners! The new year 2018 will be the first step into the right direction from every level.

The best indication that we hit a home run at the last event is the fact that we continue to get two thumbs from almost all of the attendees!
